Educational Leadership

The Master of Science degree in Educational Leadership is designed to prepare professional personnel to fill positions as PK-12 school principals or instructional supervisors. Successful completion of this fully online program will lead to an endorsement in PK-12 school administration and supervision.

A highlight of the program is a three-semester internship experience in school administration. Students are provided time for real-world Interactions with practicing school administrators at the elementary, middle, high, and central office levels.

Opportunities for Educational Leadership students at Radford

Students have the opportunity to begin the five-semester program with an "optional" on-campus orientation with their cohort. This typically takes place on the first Saturday of the initial semester.

Admissions Requirements

  • Resume
  • 2 letters of reference, including 1 from your principal and 1 from your superintendent or designee
  • A one-page essay explaining why you are interested in school leadership
  • Official transcripts for post-secondary work
  • 100% online classes

  • 100% pass rate on the SLLA Exam

  • 20 years of faculty teaching experience in public schools
