ECON 490: Economics Internship
Prerequisite: Junior or senior economics major, a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher, and permission of the instructor.
Credit Hours: (1-3)
A one or two semester program of work and study in the student's major area and/or career interest. The number of hours of work, credit hours and grade for the work performed determined by the faculty member or members sponsoring the student. Students may take up to a total of six credit hours – no more than three credit hours per internship site.
Detailed Description of Content of the Course
The program draws upon available resources in the college, the community, local businesses, and governments to supplement students' efforts to identify career plans. Internships is an outgoing cooperative program that capitalizes on job opportunities in and out of college to enhance career development for students who enroll in the program.
