The capstone study of the application of financial policy. Emphasis on problem solving through the use of cases. Course integrates all financial areas.

Detailed Description of Conduct of Course

This class consists of lectures, class discussion of current real estate finance topics, end of chapter questions, in-class projects, and computer usage of real estate related software.


Goals and Objectives of the Course

Having successfully completed the course the student will be able to:
• Apply finance theory to analysis of new problems;
• Apply quantitative techniques to analysis of new problems;
• Discuss the formulation and implementation of financial policies;
• Provide justification for policies adopted;
• Organize and present findings in written form; and
• Verbally discuss analysis and present findings to a group.


Assessment Measures

Graded assignments may include in-class examinations, a final examination, pop quizzes, written and oral presentation of cases, and class preparation and participation.
