PHYS 498: Independent Study

Detailed Description of Content of Course

The student, under the supervision of a faculty member, will study independently an area of physics, or a special topic in physics.
 

Detailed Description of Conduct of Course

Before the course begins, the student and the faculty supervisor will agree on the syllabus for the Independent Study, the type of work to be done, and the method for evaluating this work.
 

Course Goals and Objectives

The overall goal is to provide an opportunity for students to pursue an Independent Study Specific course objectives should be clarified by the agreement between the student and the instructor.
 

Assessment Measures

These should be specified in the agreement between the student and the instructor.
