Students examine health issues, scientific understanding of causes, and approaches
to control environmental and occupational related health problems.

VI. Goals and Objectives of the Course:
Upon successful completion of this course, the student will
- Discuss the history and definitions of environmental and occupational health.
- Describe the chemical, physical, and biological agents that originate in the environment
and the mechanisms by which they can impact human health.
- Evaluate the methods used to assess environmental and occupational exposures and hazards.
- Analyze policies to manage health risks associated with work-related hazards and exposures
to environmental agents.
