Steps to Enrollment

As a recently admitted student to our Bridge Program, we want to ensure that you have all of the information you need for this important transition. Here is a checklist of steps for enrolling students: 

1. Confirm Your Enrollment

Confirm your enrollment by completing the Enrollment Confirmation Form and paying your deposit in the Highlander Portal. Watch this step-by-step video for more detailed instructions for confirming your enrollment!

2. Register for Quest

Quest is an orientation program designed to help you prepare for the fall.

Quest for Bridge Program students will be held on July 12 and 13. 

Register for Quest orientation in your Highlander Portal enrollment checklist (check out step-by-step registration instructions).

3. Activate OneCampus

OneCampus is the Radford University student portal and many actions are housed here (like registering for classes, applying for housing and paying your University bill).

Activate your OneCampus account (check out detailed instructions here) using your RU ID and claim code, both of which can be found in your Highlander Portal.

4. Submit Your Housing Application

Submit your housing application (find detailed instructions here).

All Bridge Program students are required to live on campus and will be assigned a residence hall. You can request another Bridge student as a roommate or select an assignment based on survey questions in the housing application.

5. Complete NRCC Application

Complete the New River Community College Application. Your application ensures that New River has all of your student records for class enrollment in the Fall semester. The deadline to submit your NRCC application is July 1.

6. Submit Student Immunization Form

Complete the required Student Immunization Form then submit it through our online system, Medicat.

Visit our Immunization page for a full list of required and recommended vaccines, as well as additional information about submitting your Student Immunization Form.

7. Complete Consent to Enroll Form

Complete the brief Consent to Enroll form available in the Enrollment Checklist in your Highlander Portal (check out video instructions here). This form includes required Emergency Contact information as well as a Disclosure of Criminal History.

Submit your Consent to Enroll Form prior to your Quest date.

8. Send Final Transcript(s)

Confirm that Radford University will receive an official copy of your final high school transcript and/or college transcript (if you participated in dual enrollment). Once your dual enrollment transcript has been reviewed, you can check your transfer credit in your Highlander Portal.

9. Plan for University Bill

Accept your financial aid in OneCampus and begin making plans to pay your student bill. Bills will be sent to fall students in early July. To prepare, learn about payment deadlines, how to set up an authorized payer, and payment plans.

10. Monitor University Email

Keep an eye on your Radford email address (accessible in OneCampus) for information about move-in and start of semester activities. Your student bill will also be sent to your Radford email account.

New River Community College Application How-to

As part of the Bridge Program enrollment process, students are required to complete an application to New River simply as a formality. This is to ensure that New River has all of your information and can set up access to courses, create your student ID card, and other essential items that will be necessary once you start classes. 

Students need to complete and submit the application no later than July 1.
