Use of Plant Collections

Visitors are welcome in all areas of the greenhouse. All group activities (classes, tours, etc.) must be scheduled at least a week in advance of the visit, with the Greenhouse manager.

Theme Learning Centers

We have tried to create areas to demonstrate ecological concepts and economically important plants as resources for students of all levels. Many of the interpretive signs and brochures have links to the following themes (and beyond!):

  • Bromeliads
  • Rain Forests
  • Carnivorous Plants
  • The Titan Arum
  • Orchids
  • Xerophytes
  • Spray Cliff Communities
