Day Trip to the International Civil Rights Center & Museum in Greensboro, NC
A visit to the International Civil Rights Center & Museum offers students an opportunity to examine the critical role young activists, especially college students played in expanding the Civil Rights Movement. From the Greensboro Four’s historic sit-in to the broader student-led protests that reshaped the tapestry of higher education, the museum provides an immersive experience that connects past struggles to contemporary social movements. By engaging with this defined history, students gain a deeper understanding of how student leadership continues to shape the documented accounts of social movement historiography. |
