Golden Reunion

 

Help reach out to your classmates and encourage them to celebrate with you at your Golden Reunion. Volunteer by calling the Office of Alumni Relations at 540-831-5248.

Thursday, October 3
5-7 p.m. 
The Golden Dinner *
Kyle Hall 340 (free)

The Class of 1974 and previous golden classes will have a special dinner to celebrate their Golden Reunion. Classmates will reconnect, induct the newest class into the prestigious Golden Reunion Society and share their favorite Radford tales. Attendees will have the option to drive or be shuttled from the Comfort Inn starting at 4:45 p.m. Onsite parking is available in Lot J. Thanks to our special sponsor, this event is complimentary for 2024. 

Friday, October 4
Noon-1:30 p.m.
Alumni Volunteer Leadership Business Lunch and Awards *
Kyle Hall, Multipurpose Room 340 (free)

This annual luncheon is for alumni and friends who serve in and are interested in volunteer leadership roles at Radford University. The 2024 Alumni Award recipients and Golden Reunion class will also be recognized. Onsite parking is available in Lots J and N. 

Saturday, October 5

Women of Radford Luncheon $ *
Kyle Hall, Multipurpose Room 340

Reminisce about Radford’s history and celebrate the Radford University women of today. Guest speaker will be Radford University's First Lady Kay Danilowicz. Attire is dressy casual, and you are encouraged to wear your hats and pearls. Best hat wins a prize! Guests will be wowed by a mini fashion show by the Department of Design and the event will be a collection point for gently used handbags/purses that will be donated to a local charity. Price: $29 per person. This event is sponsored by Warm Hearth Village.

2-4:30 p.m.
Alumni Village/Beverage Area
Moffett Lawn (free)

Pull out those dancing shoes or just grab a side table with classmates while enjoying a live band at the Alumni Village. The "What's Under the Kilt?" beverage area will include seating and a cash bar. The Class of 1974 will have a private cabana tent inside the beverage area to continue storytelling and laughing about their Radford years.

The above events are just a snapshot of the numerous Homecoming activities planned for the weekend. A full schedule that include campus tours, college events and special activities will be available soon!
