Congratulations #RadGrads! As you count down the days to commencement, please take a few moments to make sure that you have reviewed all the details so you can relax and enjoy your commencement day.
Graduating students are required to have formal academic regalia consisting of gowns, caps or tams, and hoods as appropriate.
Everything graduates need for the ceremony can be found either online or in person at the Radford University Bookstore. The graduation regalia website will open on March 17 and will remain open until April 11. If ordering online, please allow 3-4 weeks for shipping and handling.
The Bookstore Grad Fair will be March 26 - 27 from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. The vendors who provide caps and gowns, diploma frames and class rings will all be present to answer questions. There will also be representatives from Alumni Relations, Career and Talent Development and Graduate Affairs at the Grad Fair to assist you.
Stoles and cords representing student organizations, affiliations or achievements may also be worn.
Students should contact the respective organization or office to learn more about obtaining a stole or cord.
Undergraduate tassels are worn on the right side then are moved to the left when degrees are conferred during the ceremony.
Graduate lineup begins at 9 a.m. in the area between Walker and Madison Halls and will extend toward Muse Hall. Graduates will line up by departments within each college.
