Detailed Description of Conduct of Course

Depending on the topic, the instructor and the size of the group, the course may be conducted using a lecture format or a seminar approach.

It may include discussion, oral presentations, case studies, or a variety of other approaches.
 

Goals and Objectives of the Course

The Special Topics provides an opportunity to introduce to students a body of knowledge for which no formal, regularly scheduled course exists.
 

Assessment Measures

Assessment will vary with the instructor and the topic.

2. Course outline will be approved by the Biology Department before courses are offered.
3. Biology 481 may be repeated for credit if the topic is different.
