The Department of Mathematics and Statistics supports the members of the Radford University community when they need to solve an important equation, model a complicated process or understand the story hidden in a large data set.

Major in Mathematics

Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science

Mathematics trains you to think logically and analytically, solving complicated problems by studying patterns. Concentrations in applied mathematics, statistics, and traditional mathematics teaching licensure are available. 

In collaboration with the College of Education and Human Development we prepare students who wish to teach mathematics in secondary schools. Learn more.

Graduate Degrees

Together with the School of Teaching Education and Leadership, we offer a Master of Science in Education with a concentration in Math Education Content Area Studies.

The Math/Stats Help Center has faculty from the Department of Mathematics and Statistics and students who are good at math available for tutoring in your math and stats classes. Drop by when we're open, and we'll help you out!
